Last week I was getting my grocery lists in order. I needed to check the price on a few items from Sam's Club so I pulled up their website. This is where I first discovered their Click-and-Pull program. Now, I don't know about you but just the idea of dragging two toddlers and my wandering husband to a large grocery warehouse on a weekend makes me break out in hives. With this in mind I decided to try it! So here is how it works and what I thought:
First you enter your member number and select the store you normally shop at (the one you want to pick you stuff up at). This process is simple and takes less than a minute. Then you start shopping! As you select your items and their quantities the website keeps a running total off to the right. This makes it very easy to monitor your grocery budget. Once you have shopped and got everything you needed, and somethings you just wanted, it's time to "checkout". At this point you select your pick-up day and time and then submit! The shopping was just that easy and I even received an e-mail when my order was pulled and ready.
I was impressed with the first part of the process now I just needed to see how the other end went. My family drove to the Sam's Club during our pick-up time. My husband went in by himself to get the order at the membership desk. He gave them our information and they had a neatly packed flatbed covered in shrink wrap waiting for us. My husband paid for our groceries while a runner was sent to the cooler for our cold items. My husband was in and out in about 7 minutes!
I was extremely impressed with this service and I would recommend it to any busy mom. The time it took for set-up, shopping, and pick-up was a combined 35 minutes. It was the first Saturday in a long time that I was able to spend the whole day with my family and not worry about all the grocery shopping I had to get done. An added bonus is that your order's are saved so you know what you bought last time and can even add those items to your new list the next time you shop!
